How Does a Person Become a Catholic? Want to learn more about being a Catholic?
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) formerly known as RCIA, prepares adults by providing the appropriate spiritual faith formation and development for those adults who have been baptized in the Catholic Church and need the sacraments of 1st Communion and/or Confirmation.
The program also prepares adults who have not been baptized or have been baptized in another Christian faith and would like to be fully initiated into the Catholic church. The St. Jerome OCIA Team warmly welcomes anyone inquiring about entering the Catholic faith and those wanting to know more about their faith. The OCIA classes begin and August and are held weekly. Sacraments are received during the Easter Vigil (Saturday).
Class times are as follows:
OCIA ENGLISH: SUNDAYS 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OCIA CLASS WILL BEGIN AT THE 8 AM MASS AND WILL DISMISS TO THEIR CLASSES BEFORE THE CREED.
OCIA SPANISH: SUNDAYS 10:45 AM- 11:45 AM
