Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut state legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.
Our council needs men to help with the established programs of today and help build new programs for the future. The requirements to join are only that you are 18 years or older in good standing with the Catholic Church. If you are already a Knight but not a member of our council, consider taking part in our parish efforts. If you are a member but not participating, we welcome you to join us. We need the energy and the enthusiasm that new members can bring to our team.
Consider this your invitation to join The Knights of Columbus. United we can accomplish far more than individuals acting alone. You must fill out a form 100 to join. Please call the Knights of Columbus at 210-648-0381 or Joe Kaspar 361-215-0087
