The purpose of the St. Jerome Pastoral Council is to create, inspire and demonstrate leadership and enthusiam in and for all matters relating to the spiritual and temporal affairs of the parish.
The council is made up of nine members who may serve two three year terms or more if deemed necessary by the Pastor or Administrator of the parish.
Parishioners who wish to serve on the Pastoral Council may apply for
1. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and members of the parish for at least one year before the start of their term.
2. Candidates are to have demonstrated a commitment to the parish community, be in communion with the Catholic Church, and be committed to spiritual growth.
3. Candidates should have a keen desire to help as well as the ability to listen, reflect,
and express themselves with care. They are to be able to communicate with others, to work with others, and to adapt quickly to new challenges. They are to have the skills needed to enable them to advise the Pastor in a diversity of matters.
4. Candidates elected must be able to attend meetings. Regular meetings are held the
first Tuesday of August, October, December, February, April and June at 7PM.
Special meetings may be scheduled if needed.
5. Candidates elected must comply with Archdiocesan policies for Volunteers.
